  16. outrun its natural enemies.  When cornered, it will fight with its

  18. sharp hooves for defense.  The ostrich hen lays about 15 eggs

  20. weighing 3 pounds each.  The male, a very good father, often sits on

  22. the eggs to keep them warm at night and helps with the newborn
  23.  
  24. chicks.
